     Edith Jane Birdwood was born circa 1863 at Bombay, India.² She was the daughter of Herbert Mills Birdwood and Edith Marion Sidonie Impey.¹ She married General Sir Robert Charles Ochiltree Stuart, son of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart and Louisa Frances Burton, in 1885.¹ She died on 6 January 1936.¹
     From 1885, her married name became Stuart.¹

     General Sir Robert Charles Ochiltree Stuart was born on 22 August 1861.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Robert Arthur Walter Charles Stuart and Louisa Frances Burton.² He married Edith Jane Birdwood, daughter of Herbert Mills Birdwood and Edith Marion Sidonie Impey, in 1885.¹ He died on 14 October 1948 at age 87.¹
     He fought in the Burma War between 1885 and 1887.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.² He held the office of Director-General of Ordnance, India in 1911.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1917.²

     Hon. Constance Jean Gonville Birdwood was the daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead.¹ She married Frank Colin Craig, son of Frank Craig, on 5 March 1919.¹ She died on 19 October 1975.¹
     Hon. Constance Jean Gonville Birdwood usually went by her middle name of Nancy.¹ From 5 March 1919, her married name became Craig.¹

     Frank Colin Craig was the son of Frank Craig.¹ He married Hon. Constance Jean Gonville Birdwood, daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead, on 5 March 1919.¹ He died in September 1951.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Hon. Judith Horatia Birdwood is the daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead.¹ She married, firstly, Roger William Colville-Wallis, son of Reverend William Colville-Wallis, in September 1939.¹ She and Roger William Colville-Wallis were divorced in 1947.¹ She married, secondly, Rudolph Putnam Messel, son of Harold George Messel and Leonora Putnam Gibson, on 23 October 1947.¹
     From September 1939, her married name became Colville-Wallis.¹ From 23 October 1947, her married name became Messel.¹

     Roger William Colville-Wallis was the son of Reverend William Colville-Wallis.¹ He married Hon. Judith Horatia Birdwood, daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead, in September 1939.¹ He and Hon. Judith Horatia Birdwood were divorced in 1947.¹ He died on 28 March 1959.¹

     Reverend William Colville-Wallis lived at St. Agnes Vicarage, Newmarket, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Rudolph Putnam Messel was born in 1904 at London, England.² He was the son of Harold George Messel and Leonora Putnam Gibson.^1,2 He married Hon. Judith Horatia Birdwood, daughter of Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood and Janetta Hope Gonville Bromhead, on 23 October 1947.¹ He died on 3 May 1958.¹

     Harold George Messel was born in 1877 at Bayswater, London, England.² He was the son of Ludwig Ernest Wilhelm Leonard Messel and Annie Cussans.² He married Leonora Putnam Gibson.²
     He was a stockbroker.²
