     From before 1600, her married name became Mansel.¹

     Irene Scharff was born on 7 April 1937 at Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfahlen, Germany^G.¹ She is the daughter of Alexander Scharff and Irene Friedrich.² She married Alexander von Keudell, son of Otto von Keudell and Maria Momm, on 20 March 1980 at Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfahlen, Germany^G.¹
     From 20 March 1980, her married name became von Keudell.¹

     Sir Nathaniel Bacon was born circa 1546.² He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Jane Fernley.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Gresham, daughter of Sir Meautys Thomas Gresham.¹ He married, secondly, Dorothy Hopton, daughter of Sir Arthur Hopton and Rachel Hall, after 21 July 1597.¹ He died on 7 November 1622.²
     He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 15 December 1562 entitled to practise as a barrister.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tavistock from 1571 to 1572.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1584.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1593.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lynn in 1597.² He held the office of Sheriff of Norfolk in 1599.² He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 21 July 1604.^1,2 He lived at Stiffkey, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He had one other daughter by his first wife.¹

     Anne Gresham was born illegitimately.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Meautys Thomas Gresham.¹ She married Sir Nathaniel Bacon, son of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Jane Fernley.¹
     Her married name became Bacon.¹

     Sir Meautys Thomas Gresham was born in 1519.² He died in 1579.²
     He was a financier.¹ Sir Meautys Thomas Gresham usually went by his middle name of Thomas.¹

     Dorothy Hopton was born in 1575 at Witham Friary, Somerset, England.² She was the daughter of Sir Arthur Hopton and Rachel Hall.^1,2 She married Sir Nathaniel Bacon, son of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Jane Fernley, after 21 July 1597.¹ She died in 1629.²

     Sir Thomas Knyvett was the son of Sir Thomas Knyvett and Muriel Parry.² He married Elizabeth Bacon, daughter of Sir Nathaniel Bacon and Anne Gresham, in 1592.¹ He died circa September 1605.² He was buried on 20 September 1605.²
