Simeon II of Bulgaria, Tsar of Bulgaria1
Simeon II of Bulgaria, Tsar of Bulgaria was born on 16 June 1937 at Sofia, BulgariaG.1 He is the son of Boris III of Bulgaria, Tsar of Bulgaria and Giovanna Elisabetta Antonia Romana Maria di Savoia-Carignano, Principessa de Savoia.3 He married Dona Margarita Gómez-Acebo y Cejuala, daughter of Don Manuel Gómez-Acebo y Modet, Marqués de Cortina and Dona Mercedes Cejuela y Fernández, on 20 January 1962 at Lausanne, SwitzerlandG, in a civil marriage.4 Simeon II and Margarita were also married in a religious ceremony on 21 January 1962 at Vevey, SwitzerlandG.5
He gained the title of Prince Simeon of Bulgaria.3 He gained the title of Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria on 28 August 1943.1 He was deposed as Tsar of Bulgaria, after a communist rigged plebiscite on 9 September 1946.1 He lived in 1976 at Avenida del Valle 3, Madrid, SpainG.5
