     Major Rowland Brinckman was born on 19 November 1861.¹ He was the son of William Edward Brinckman and Mary Alice Egerton-Warburton.¹ He married, firstly, Anna Alexander Cairnes, daughter of John Elliot Cairnes and Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander, on 26 August 1891.¹ He married, secondly, Marian Baxter, daughter of Richard Baxter, on 18 October 1911.¹ He died on 4 January 1948 at age 86.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.¹ He gained the rank of General Staff Offcier in 1914.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Anna Alexander Cairnes was the daughter of John Elliot Cairnes and Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander.^1,2 She married Major Rowland Brinckman, son of William Edward Brinckman and Mary Alice Egerton-Warburton, on 26 August 1891.¹ She died on 11 September 1910.¹
     Her married name became Brinckman.

     John Elliot Cairnes was born on 26 September 1823.¹ He is the son of William Elliot Cairnes and Mary Anne Woolsey.² He married Elizabeth Charlotte Alexander, daughter of George Alexander, in 1860.¹
