Major Roland Edward Paget was born on 8 December 1878.1 He was the son of Lord Berkeley Charles Sydney Paget and Florence Chetwynd.1 He married Maude Erskine Cran, daughter of James Cran, on 28 June 1913.1 He died on 29 January 1954 at age 75.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 21st Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1916, where he was wounded.1
