From 1952, her married name became de Bernier.2 She graduated from University College London, London, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)3 She was admitted to Inner Temple in 1962 entitled to practise as a barirster.3 From 1966, her married name became Flather.1 She was an infant teacher between 1967 and 1968.3 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Maidenhead in 1971.3 She was created Baroness Flather, of Windsor and Maidenhead in the Royal County of Berkshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 11 June 1990.1 She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berkshire in 1994.3

John Haraldssen, Jarl of Orkney 
He gained the title of Jarl of Orkney. He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Caithness [S., 1030] in 1214, jointly.2 In 1222 Adam, the Bishop of Caithness was assaulted in his episcopal residence at Halkirk and burned to death ‘in his presence, but apparently wthout his consent,’ after a dispute about tithes.3 His territory was confiscated by King Alexander II of Scotland for his unlawful killing of the Bishop of Caithness, although restored on John’s payment of a huge fine.2
