Almeric Hugh Paget, 1st and last Baron Queenborough was born on 14 March 1861 at London, EnglandG.1,3 He was the son of General Lord Alfred Henry Paget and Cecilia Wyndham.1 He was baptised at London, EnglandG.3 He married, firstly, Pauline Payne Whitney, daughter of Hon. William Collins Whitney and Flora Payne, on 12 November 1895 at New York, U.S.A.G.3 He married, secondly, Edith Miller, daughter of William Starr Miller and Edith Caroline Warren, on 19 July 1921 at New York, U.S.A.G.3 He died on 22 September 1949 at age 88, without male issue.1
He was educated between 1875 and 1877 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 In 1906 he contested Cambridge in the General Election for Unionist interests.3 He was President of the Eastern Provincial Division of the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations in 1909.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1909.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Cambridge between 1910 and 1917.3 He held the office of Parliamentary Provincial Whip for the Eastern and Home Counties between 1911 and 1917.3 He was created 1st Baron Queenborough, of Queenborough, co. Kent [U.K.] on 18 January 1918.3 He was Treasurer of the League of Nations Union.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1926.3 He was President of the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations between 1928 and 1929.1 He was Chairman of Siemens Bros. & Co. Ltd.3 He was President of the Chihuahua and Pacific Railroad.3 He was appointed Knight of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.)3 He was Chairman of Caxton Electric Developments.3 He was President of the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations between 1940 and 1941.1
On his death, the Barony of Queenborough became extinct.1

Hon. William Collins Whitney was born on 5 July 1841 at Conway, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.2 He was the son of General James S. Whitney and Laurinda Collins.2 He married, firstly, Flora Payne, daughter of Hon. Henry B. Payne.2 He married, secondly, Edith May Randolph.2 He died on 2 February 1904 at age 62.2 He was buried at The Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.2
He graduated from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.G, in 1863.2 He was educated at Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.2 He was a practising lawyer at New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.2 He was corporation counsel for New York City between 1875 and 1882 at New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.2 He held the office of Secretary of the U.S. Navy between 1885 and 1889.1,2
