George Miles Hobart-Hampden, 10th Earl of Buckinghamshire was born on 15 December 1944.2 He is the son of Cyril Langel Hobart-Hampden and Margaret Jolliffe.3 He married, firstly, Susan Jennifer Adams, daughter of Raymond W. Adams, on 27 July 1968.2 He and Susan Jennifer Adams were divorced in 1975.2 He married, secondly, Alison Wightman Forrest, daughter of William Forrest, on 5 July 1975.2
He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Exeter University, Exeter, Devon, EnglandG, in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Birkbeck College, London, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Institute of Commonwealth Studies, London, EnglandG, in 1968 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was with Noble Lowndes and partners between 1970 and 1981.2 He was a director of companies of the Hong Kong Bank Group between 1981 and 1991.2 He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Directors (F.Inst.D.) in 1983.2 He gained the title of 10th Earl of Buckinghamshire [G.B., 1746] on 19 April 1983.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baron Hobart of Blickling, Norfolk [G.B., 1728] on 19 April 1983.2 He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Hobart, of Intwood, Norfolk [E., 1611] on 19 April 1983.2 He was partner of Watson Wyatt Worldwide in 1995.2 He lived in 2003 at 1 Falcon Way, Shire Park, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2
