     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Captain Ronald George Legge was born on 4 July 1878.¹ He was the son of Hon. Charles Gounter Legge and Mary Garnier.¹ He married Phyllis Mildred Harriet Ford, daughter of Reverend Mortimer Ford, on 19 November 1910.¹ He died on 18 December 1914 at age 36, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, with the Imperial Yeomanry.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Devon Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Phyllis Mildred Harriet Ford was the daughter of Reverend Mortimer Ford.¹ She married, firstly, Captain Ronald George Legge, son of Hon. Charles Gounter Legge and Mary Garnier, on 19 November 1910.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Richard Romer Claude Baggallay, son of Claude Baggallay, on 17 April 1922.² She died on 13 August 1967.¹
     From 19 November 1910, her married name became Legge. From 17 April 1922, her married name became Baggallay.

     Reverend Mortimer Ford lived at Yarcombe, Devon, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Richard Romer Claude Baggallay was born in 1884.² He was the son of Claude Baggallay.¹ He married, firstly, Kathleen Constance Charlotte FitzGerald Murphy in 1910.² He married, secondly, Phyllis Mildred Harriet Ford, daughter of Reverend Mortimer Ford, on 17 April 1922.²
     He gained the rank of Lt.-Col. in 1909 in the 11th Hussars.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches and wounded.² He held the office of Military Secretary to the Viceroy of Ireland in 1919.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1919.^2,1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.^2,1 He was commandant of the Alien internment camps, Isle of Man between 1940 and 1942.²

     Claude Baggallay lived at Wilderwick, East Grinstead, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹

     Major Rupert Mortimer Legge was born on 8 September 1911.¹ He was the son of Captain Ronald George Legge and Phyllis Mildred Harriet Ford.¹ He married Anne Adam, daughter of Sir James Adam, on 24 February 1940.¹ He died on 5 September 1944 at age 32 at Italy^G, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Fusiliers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Anne Adam was the daughter of Sir James Adam.¹ She married Major Rupert Mortimer Legge, son of Captain Ronald George Legge and Phyllis Mildred Harriet Ford, on 24 February 1940.¹ She died in 1982.¹
     Her married name became Legge.

     Sir James Adam was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹ He lived at Colne Park, Essex, England^G.¹
