     David Gerald Brooks, 5th Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw was born on 14 September 1934.¹ He is the son of Gerald Beach Brooks, 3rd Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Marjory Sheila Clifton.² He married Belinda Mary Burgess, daughter of George Burgess, on 27 October 1970.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire between 1985 and 1986.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Brooks [U.K., 1891] on 7 November 1997.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw, co. Lancaster and of Whatton, co. Leicester [U.K., 1892] on 7 November 1997.¹ He lived in 2003 at Little Riste Farm, Long Whatton, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Hon. John Patrick Brooks was born on 17 March 1938.¹ He was the son of Gerald Beach Brooks, 3rd Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Marjory Sheila Clifton.² He married Rosemary Vans Agnew Franks, daughter of C. Vans Agnew Franks, on 17 June 1967.¹ He died on 8 November 2020 at age 82.³
     He was educated at Loughborough College, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 25 Cadogan Street, London, England^G.¹

     Hon. Mary Aletheia Brooks was born on 12 March 1931.¹ She was the daughter of Gerald Beach Brooks, 3rd Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Marjory Sheila Clifton.² She died on 17 November 2000 at age 69, unmarried.¹

     James Shanks lived at Rosely, Arbroath, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Hon. Alexander Shaw was born on 10 June 1957.¹ He was the son of Thomas Donald Mackay Shaw, 3rd Baron Craigmyle and Anthea Esther Christine Theresa Rich.² He died on 11 June 1957.¹

     Caroline Bessette was born on 6 January 1966. She was the daughter of William J. Bessette and Anne Messina. She married John FitzGerald Kennedy, Jr., son of John FitzGerald Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, in 1996 at Georgia, U.S.A.^G. She died on 17 July 1999 at age 33, missing at sea, after an air accident.
     Her married name became Kennedy.

     William J. Bessette married Anne Messina. He and Anne Messina were divorced.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Lauren Bessette was born on 5 November 1964 at White Plains, Westchester County, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of William J. Bessette and Anne Messina.¹ She died on 17 July 1999 at age 34, missing at sea, after an air accident.

     Lisa Ann Bessette was born on 6 January 1966. She is the daughter of William J. Bessette and Anne Messina.

     Anne Messina married, firstly, William J. Bessette. She married, secondly, Dr. Richard Freeman.¹ She and William J. Bessette were divorced.¹
