     Penelope Anne Erskine was born on 19 February 1920.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine of Cambo, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Peter Goldthorne Sugden, son of Brig.-Gen. Richard Edgar Sugden, on 15 October 1941.¹
     She gained the rank of 3rd Officer in the Women’s Royal Naval Service, during the Second World War.¹ She graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland^G, in 1940 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ Her married name became Sugden.

     Lt.-Cdr. Peter Goldthorne Sugden was the son of Brig.-Gen. Richard Edgar Sugden.¹ He married Penelope Anne Erskine, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine of Cambo, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther, on 15 October 1941.¹ He died in May 1943, as a result of an accident.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹

     Brig.-Gen. Richard Edgar Sugden was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He lived at Brighouse, Yorkshire, England^G. He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Paul Ralph Sugden was born on 12 September 1942.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. Peter Goldthorne Sugden and Penelope Anne Erskine.¹ He married Janet Mary Rumsey, daughter of S/Ldr. J. M. Rumsey, on 13 August 1966.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Cooks Mill Cottage, Fordham Heath, Essex, England^G.¹

     Constance Gertrude Erskine was born on 21 April 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine of Cambo, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther.¹ She married Major Oliver Patch, son of James Patch, on 13 June 1942.¹ She died on 25 October 2015 at age 94.²
     Her married name became Patch. She lived in 2003 at Conduit, Barkers Hill, Semley, Shaftesbury, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Major Oliver Patch was the son of James Patch.¹ He married Constance Gertrude Erskine, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Thomas Wilfred Hargreaves John Erskine of Cambo, 4th Bt. and Magdalen Janet Anstruther, on 13 June 1942.¹ He died in 1991.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Marines.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     James Patch lived at Newton Abbot, Devon, England^G.

     Janet Mary Patch was born on 25 February 1945.¹ She is the daughter of Major Oliver Patch and Constance Gertrude Erskine.¹ She married Simon Scott in 1976.¹ She and Simon Scott were divorced in 1986.¹
     From 1976, her married name became Scott.¹

     Olivia Cynthia Mary Patch was born on 28 July 1946. She is the daughter of Major Oliver Patch and Constance Gertrude Erskine.¹ She married, firstly, Dimitri Tiomkin in 1972.¹ She married, secondly, James Alastair Sholto Douglas, son of Major Henry James Sholto Douglas, in 1988.²
     From 1972, her married name became Tiomkin.² From 1988, her married name became Sholto Douglas.² She lived in 2003 at 43 Cardigan Square, London, England^G.¹
