Inverness [U.K., 1920] on 1 December 1920, with special remainder to the heirs male of the body of his mother.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1924 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for the Isle of Ely between October 1924 and May 1929.1 He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1933 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hendon South between July 1945 and 1970.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the Home Office between February 1952 and December 1955.1 On 3 February 1965 his name was legally changed to Hugh Vere Huntly Duff Munro-Lucas-Tooth of Teanich by Deed Poll.1
