     Sir Hugh Vere Huntly Duff Munro-Lucas-Tooth, 1st Bt. was born on 13 January 1903.¹ He was the son of Major Hugh Munro Warrand and Beatrice Maude Lucas Tooth.² He married Laetitia Florence Findlay, daughter of Sir John Ritchie Findlay of Aberlour, 1st Bt. and Harriet Jane Backhouse, on 10 September 1925.¹ He died in 1985.²
     He was given the name of Hugh Vere Huntly Duff Warrand at birth.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ In 1920 his name was legally changed to Hugh Vere Huntly Duff Lucas-Tooth of Teanich by Royal Licence.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Lucas-Tooth, of Bught, co. Inverness [U.K., 1920] on 1 December 1920, with special remainder to the heirs male of the body of his mother.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1924 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for the Isle of Ely between October 1924 and May 1929.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1933 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hendon South between July 1945 and 1970.¹ He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the Home Office between February 1952 and December 1955.¹ On 3 February 1965 his name was legally changed to Hugh Vere Huntly Duff Munro-Lucas-Tooth of Teanich by Deed Poll.¹

     Caroline Maria Lucas-Tooth was born on 12 May 1956.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Hugh John Lucas-Tooth, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Caroline Poole.² She married William John Hibbert, son of Sir Reginald Alfred Hibbert and Ann Pugh, on 19 April 1980.¹
