He was the son of Maximilian Egon Prinz zu Fürstenberg and Wilhelmine Aloyse Karoline Sidonia Marie Josepha Adelheid Hedwige Gräfin von Schönburg-Glauchau. He married Paula Gräfin zu Konigsegg-Aulendorf, daughter of Graf Joseph Erwin zu Konigsegg-Aulendorf and Gräfin Lucia von Wilczek, in 1947. He died in 2002.¹
     He gained the title of 10th Fürst zu Fürstenberg. He was given the name of Joachim Egon Maximilian Friedrich Leo Joseph Maria Hubertus zu Fürstenberg at birth.

     Paula Gräfin zu Konigsegg-Aulendorf was born on 22 May 1925 at Aulendorf, Germany^G. She was the daughter of Graf Joseph Erwin zu Konigsegg-Aulendorf and Gräfin Lucia von Wilczek. She married Joachim Egon 10th Fürst zu Fürstenberg, son of Maximilian Egon Prinz zu Fürstenberg and Wilhelmine Aloyse Karoline Sidonia Marie Josepha Adelheid Hedwige Gräfin von Schönburg-Glauchau, in 1947. She died on 6 January 2019 at age 93.¹
