     Lt.-Col. Morton Parker Eden was born on 11 March 1835.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. George Morton Eden and Louisa Anne Eyres.2 He married Georgina Louisa Helen Pester, daughter of General Henry Pester, on 4 April 1861.1 He died on 18 September 1880 at age 45.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1
