     He was educated at Newlands, Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He was Privy Chamberlain to HH The Pope.¹ He was chairman of the Newcastle Belgian Refugee Committee in World War I.¹ He was chairman of the Juvenile Organisaiton Council for Newcastle between 1916 and 1923.¹ He was organiser of the British Section, International Scouts Pilgrimage to Rome in 1925.¹ He was awarded the Bene Merenti Medal in 1927.¹

     Herbert Joseph Corballis was born in 1877.¹ He was the son of James Henry Corballis and Constantia Lucretia Jerningham.² He married Letitia Elliott in 1904.¹ He died in 1936.¹
     He emigrated to Canada^G.¹

     Letitia Elliott married Herbert Joseph Corballis, son of James Henry Corballis and Constantia Lucretia Jerningham, in 1904.¹ She died in 1955.¹
     From 1904, her married name became Corballis.
