     Captain W. F. Hutton was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹

     Geoffrey Gordon Rich is the son of Maitland Gordon Rich and Mabel Montgomery Hutton.¹ He married Sybil Catharine Dorothy Johnson, daughter of Major P. H. Johnson, in 1924.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King Edward’s Horse.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.¹

     Sybil Catharine Dorothy Johnson is the daughter of Major P. H. Johnson.¹ She married Geoffrey Gordon Rich, son of Maitland Gordon Rich and Mabel Montgomery Hutton, in 1924.¹
     From 1924, her married name became Rich.¹

     Major P. H. Johnson lived at Mount Torlesse, Springfield, Canterbury, New Zealand.¹

     Dorothy Georgiana Gordon Rich was born in 1927.¹ She is the daughter of Geoffrey Gordon Rich and Sybil Catharine Dorothy Johnson.¹ She married Derek Morley Pinfold, son of Cyril Morley Pinfold, in 1951.¹
