     Sir Bruce Stewart, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 September 1904.1 He was the son of Sir John Henderson Stewart, 1st Bt. and Ethel Bailey Fraser.1 He married Constance Gray, daughter of William S. Gray, in 1925.1 He died on 5 September 1979 at age 74.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stewart, of Fingask, co. Perth [U.K., 1920] on 6 February 1924.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.1 He was chairman of Akaroa County Council.1
     On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
