     Lt.-Cdr. Gerald Hildred Elsdale Molson was born on 28 October 1895.¹ He was the son of John Elsdale Molson and Mary Leeson.¹ He died on 23 November 1939 at age 44, killed in action.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Minden Whyte-Melville MacLeod is the son of Malcolm Neynoe MacLeod.¹ He married Agnes Violet Alice Molson, daughter of John Elsdale Molson and Mary Leeson, on 1 September 1926.¹
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹
