     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.¹ He lived at Broomhill, Pendlebury, Lancashire, England.¹

     Sophia Louisa Hutchinson was born on 29 November 1813.¹ She was the daughter of William Heap Hutchinson and Harriet Howarth.¹ She died on 16 January 1900 at age 86, unmarried.¹

     Elizabeth Hutchinson was born on 18 November 1814.¹ She was the daughter of William Heap Hutchinson and Harriet Howarth.¹ She died on 5 September 1905 at age 90, unmarried.¹

     Louisa Potter was the daughter of Thomas Potter.¹ She married James Hutchinson, son of William Hutchinson and Mary Heap, on 5 May 1808.¹ She died on 7 February 1852.¹
     From 5 May 1808, her married name became Hutchinson.¹
