     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was a schoolmaster.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hume-Williams, of Ewhurst, co. Surrey [U.K., 1922] on 4 February 1947.¹

     Norah Anderson was the daughter of David Anderson.¹ She married Sir Roy Ellis-Hume-Williams, 2nd Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Ellis William-Hume-Williams, 1st Bt. and Lucy Annette Satow, on 29 December 1915.¹ She and Sir Roy Ellis-Hume-Williams, 2nd Bt. were divorced in 1949.¹ She died on 14 December 1964.¹
     From 29 December 1915, her married name became Ellis-Hume-Williams.¹

     David Anderson lived at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Frances Mary Groom is the daughter of Major Arthur Groom.¹ She married Sir Roy Ellis-Hume-Williams, 2nd Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Ellis William-Hume-Williams, 1st Bt. and Lucy Annette Satow, on 20 August 1949.¹
