     Sir Hubert Stanley Houldsworth, 1st Bt. was born on 20 April 1889.¹ He was the son of Albert Edward Houldsworth and Susannah Buckley.² He married Hilda Frances Clegg, daughter of Joseph Clegg, on 19 August 1919.¹ He died on 1 February 1956 at age 66.¹
     He graduated from University of Leeds, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G, in 1911 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He graduated from University of Leeds, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England, in 1912 with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)¹ He graduated from University of Leeds, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England, in 1925 with a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.)¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1926 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.² He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1937.² He was regional controller, Ministry of Fuel and Power between 1942 and 1943.¹ He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1943.² He was Controller General, Ministry of Fuel and Power between 1943 and 1945.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1944.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Doncaster between 1946 and 1948.¹ He was chairman of the East Midlands Division, National Coal Board between 1946 and 1951.¹ He was chairman of the National Coal Board between 1951 and 1956.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Houldsworth, of Heckmondwicke, co. York [U.K.] on 25 January 1956.¹

     Hilda Frances Clegg is the daughter of Joseph Clegg.¹ She married Sir Hubert Stanley Houldsworth, 1st Bt., son of Albert Edward Houldsworth and Susannah Buckley, on 19 August 1919.¹
     From 19 August 1919, her married name became Houldsworth.¹

     Joseph Clegg lived at Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Albert Edward Houldsworth was born on 4 August 1863.¹ He married Susannah Buckley, daughter of Joseph Buckley, on 9 May 1888.¹ He died on 22 March 1896 at age 32.¹
     He lived at Heckmondvike, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Susannah Buckley is the daughter of Joseph Buckley.¹ She married Albert Edward Houldsworth on 9 May 1888.¹

     Sir Harold Basil Houldsworth, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 July 1922.¹ He was the son of Sir Hubert Stanley Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Hilda Frances Clegg.¹ He married Norah Clifford Halmshaw, daughter of Arthur Halmshaw, on 24 September 1946.¹ He died on 24 March 1990 at age 67.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹ He was resident anaesthetist at General Infirmary, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was appointed Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1946.¹ He was appointed FFARCS.¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Houldsworth, of Heckmondwicke, co. York [U.K., 1956] on 1 February 1956.¹ He was consultant anaesthetist at Sheffield Regional Hospital, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Norah Clifford Halmshaw is the daughter of Arthur Halmshaw.¹ She married Sir Harold Basil Houldsworth, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Hubert Stanley Houldsworth, 1st Bt. and Hilda Frances Clegg, on 24 September 1946.¹
     From 24 September 1946, her married name became Houldsworth.¹

     Arthur Halmshaw lived at Heckmondwike, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Sarah Belinda Clifford Houldsworth was born on 28 May 1949.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Harold Basil Houldsworth, 2nd Bt. and Norah Clifford Halmshaw.¹
