Sir George Francis Hampson, 9th Bt.1

     Sir George Francis Hampson, 9th Bt. was born on 28 September 1823.1 He was the son of Sir George Francis Hampson, 8th Bt. and Mary Foreman Brown.1 He married Ann England, daughter of Thomas Hutchings England, on 12 July 1854.2 He died on 21 July 1896 at age 72, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hampson, of Taplow, co. Buckingham [E., 1642] on 8 May 1833.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys.)2 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.1
