     From 10 August 1621, her married name became Assheton.¹

     William Brereton lived at Ashley, Bowdon, Cheshire, England.¹

     Harriet Theodosia Smith was the daughter of Rt. Hon. John Smith and Anne Strickland.¹ She married Thomas Assheton, son of Thomas Assheton and Lucy Leigh, on 23 April 1724.¹ She died on 23 January 1773.¹
     From 23 April 1724, her married name became Assheton.¹

     Thomas Assheton was baptised on 30 September 1678.¹ He was the son of Thomas Assheton and Lucy Leigh.¹ He married Harriet Theodosia Smith, daughter of Rt. Hon. John Smith and Anne Strickland, on 23 April 1724.¹ He died circa 6 July 1759.¹
     He lived at Ashley, Bowdon, Cheshire, England.¹

     Thomas Assheton-Smith was baptised on 26 June 1725.¹ He was the son of Thomas Assheton and Harriet Theodosia Smith.¹ He married Mary (?)¹ He died on 16 April 1774 at age 48.¹
     He was given the name of Thomas Assheton at birth.¹ In 1774 his name was legally changed to Thomas Assheton-Smith at the death of his maternal uncle, William Smith.¹

     William Smith was the son of Rt. Hon. John Smith and Anne Strickland.¹ He died on 13 January 1773.¹

     Mary (?) married Thomas Assheton-Smith, son of Thomas Assheton and Harriet Theodosia Smith.¹
     Her married name became Assheton-Smith.¹

     Elizabeth Wynn is the daughter of Watkins Wynn.¹ She married Thomas Assheton-Smith, son of Thomas Assheton-Smith and Mary (?).¹
     Her married name became Assheton-Smith.¹

     Watkins Wynn lived at Voelas, Denbighshire, Wales.¹

     William Assheton-Smith was the son of Thomas Assheton-Smith and Elizabeth Wynn.¹ He died on 16 January 1806, lost at sea while attempting to save life.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, on board H.M.S. Temeraire.¹ He fought in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.¹
