     Diana Athill was born on 21 December 1917 at Kensington, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Major Lawrence Francis Imbert Athill and Alice Katharine Carr.¹ She died on 23 January 2019 at age 101.¹
     She was educated at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ She wrote the book Stet, published 2000.¹ She wrote the book Yesterday Morning, published 2002.¹ She wrote the book Somewhere Towards the End, published 2008.¹ She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2009.¹

     Major Andrew Herbert Athill was born circa 1920.¹ He was the son of Major Lawrence Francis Imbert Athill and Alice Katharine Carr.¹ He died on 17 August 2005.²
