     Alice Lucy St. John Dering was the daughter of Heneage William Dering and Ann Caroline Upton.¹ She married Arthur Cotton Beare on 27 October 1874.¹ She died on 24 May 1923.¹
     From 27 October 1874, her married name became Beare.¹

     Arthur Cotton Beare married Alice Lucy St. John Dering, daughter of Heneage William Dering and Ann Caroline Upton, on 27 October 1874.¹ He died on 5 July 1876.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the 13th Hussars.¹
