Sir William Robert Dermot Joshua Cusack-Smith, 6th Bt. was born on 6 December 1907.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Berry Cusack-Smith, 5th Bt. and Jennie Jones.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Winlaw, daughter of Reverend Preston Kelsall Winlaw, on 17 September 1932.3 He and Dorothy Winlaw were divorced in 1945.3 He married, secondly, Adela Mary O’Rorke, daughter of Charles Trench O’Rorke, on 9 July 1946.3 He died on 10 April 1970 at age 62.2
Sir William Robert Dermot Joshua Cusack-Smith, 6th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Dermot.3 He was educated at Brighton College, Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Smith, of Newton, King’s County [I., 1799] on 7 July 1929.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 57th Home Counties Field Brigade, Royal Artillery (TA.)3 He fought in the Second World War.3 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2

He gained the rank of officer in the 10th Royal Wurttenberg Lancers.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Smith, of Newton, King’s County [I., 1799] on 16 May 1859.1
