     Her married name became Philips.¹

     Major John George Smyly was born in 1829 at 9 Great Georges Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He was the son of John George Smyly and Eliza Jane Ferguson.¹ He died on 17 February 1912 at 23 Kildare Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)¹

     Ellen Belissa Smyly was born on 20 February 1837 at 9 Great Georges Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of John George Smyly and Eliza Jane Ferguson.¹ She married Rev. Canon Edward Newland on 11 June 1867 at St. Stephens, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ She died on 17 November 1872 at age 35 at Macosquin, County Londonderry, Ireland.¹
     From 11 June 1867, her married name became Newland.¹

     William Cecil Smyly was born on 2 January 1840 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He was the son of John George Smyly and Eliza Jane Ferguson.¹ He married Alice Mary Brooks on 23 December 1883 at St. Marys, Watford, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He died on 4 March 1921 at age 81 at Heathfield, Windlesham, Surrey, England.¹
     He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)¹

     Eliza Ferguson Newland was born on 20 May 1868 at Grand Central Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Canon Edward Newland and Ellen Belissa Smyly.¹ She died on 27 June 1950 at age 82 at Randal Park, Portrush, County Antrim, Ireland.¹

     Major John George Newland was born on 18 February 1871 at Hawkins Street, Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland.¹ He was the son of Rev. Canon Edward Newland and Ellen Belissa Smyly.¹ He died on 15 June 1902 at age 31 at Buffalo, New York, U.S.A.¹

     Harriet Anne Georgiana Wyndham was born on 2 April 1846.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Charles Wyndham and Hon. Elizabeth Anne Hepburne-Scott.¹ She died on 8 March 1940 at age 93, unmarried.¹

     Reverend Mitchell Smyth was born in 1807 at Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He married Anne Elizabeth Heyland.¹ He died on 13 April 1894 at Ballintemple, Garvagh, County Londonderry, Ireland.¹

     Anne Elizabeth Heyland was born circa 1807 at Bangor, Wales.¹ She married Reverend Mitchell Smyth.¹ She died on 1 January 1875 at Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland.¹
