     Colonel Robert Brooke was born in 1744.1 He was the son of Robert Brooke and Honor Brooke.1 He married Anna Maria Mapletoft, daughter of Reverend Robert Mapletoft, in 1775.1 He died on 25 January 1811.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He held the office of Governor of St. Helena.1 He attempted to set up Prosperous as an industrial centre with the support of the Irish Government, but lost all of his money in the venture.1

     Major James Henry Brooke was born in 1781.1 He was the son of Colonel Robert Brooke and Anna Maria Mapletoft.1 He married, firstly, Anne Patton, daughter of Robert Patton and Constantia Adelina Sally Mapletoft, on 15 March 1805.1 He married, secondly, Isabella Hardwicke, daughter of Edward Hardwicke, on 23 January 1813.1 He died on 21 November 1821.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Bengal Horse Artillery.1

Anna Maria Mapletoft1

     Anna Maria Mapletoft was baptised on 12 March 1754.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Mapletoft.1 She married, firstly, William Wynne before 1775.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Robert Brooke, son of Robert Brooke and Honor Brooke, in 1775.1 She died on 26 March 1824 at age 70.1
     From before 1775, her married name became Wynne.1 From 1775, her married name became Brooke.1
