     John Gordon Goddard married Dorothy Astley, daughter of Hugh Francis Lethbridge Astley and Jessie Louisa Aves, in 1937.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant (S) in the Royal Navy.¹

     Major Spencer Byng Astley was born on 4 October 1844.¹ He was the son of Sir Francis Dugdale Astley, 2nd Bt. and Emma Dorothea Lethbridge.¹ He married Rose Halle, daughter of John Halle, in 1876.¹ He died on 12 February 1915 at age 70.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Devon Regiment.¹
