     Sir Theophilus Oglethorpe was born in September 1650.¹ He was the son of Sutton Oglethorpe and Frances Matthew.¹ He married Eleanor Wall, daughter of Richard Wall.¹ He died on 10 April 1702 at age 51.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Morpeth in 1685.¹ He was appointed Knight on 7 July 1685.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1688.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haslemere in 1698.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haslemere in 1701.¹

     Eleanor Wall was the daughter of Richard Wall.¹ She married Sir Theophilus Oglethorpe, son of Sutton Oglethorpe and Frances Matthew.¹ She died on 19 June 1732.¹
     She was maid to the Duchess of Portsmouth.¹ Her married name became Oglethorpe.¹

     Richard Wall lived at Rathkennan, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Frances Matthew is the daughter of John Matthew.¹ She married, secondly, Sutton Oglethorpe, son of William Oglethorpe and Susan Sutton.¹ She married, firstly, Mark Pickering.¹
     Her married name became Pickering.¹ Her married name became Oglethorpe.¹

     Mark Pickering married Frances Matthew, daughter of John Matthew.¹

     Ann Wright is the daughter of Sir Nathan Wright, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Lawley.¹ She married Thomas Lewis, son of Colonel Thomas Lewis and Margaret Howes, on 12 February 1743.¹
     From 12 February 1743, her married name became Lewis.¹

     Thomas Lewis was born on 18 October 1690.¹ He was the son of Colonel Thomas Lewis and Margaret Howes.¹ He married Ann Wright, daughter of Sir Nathan Wright, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Lawley, on 12 February 1743.¹ He died on 5 April 1777 at age 86.¹
     He lived at Harpton Court.¹ He was educated at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Radnor Boroughs between 1715 and 1761.¹ He held the office of Recorder of New Radnor in 1731.¹

     Colonel Thomas Lewis married Margaret Howes, daughter of William Howes.¹ He died in 1724.¹
     He lived at Harpton Court.¹

     Margaret Howes is the daughter of William Howes.¹ She married Colonel Thomas Lewis.¹
     Her married name became Lewis.¹

     William Howes lived at Greenham, Berkshire, England.¹
