     Dorothy Colby was the daughter of Thomas Colby.1 She married, firstly, John Tamworth.1 She married, secondly, Sir Francis Willoughby.1 She married, thirdly, Philip Wharton, 3rd Baron Wharton, son of Thomas Wharton, 2nd Baron Wharton and Lady Anne Radcliffe, in 1597.1 She died on 4 April 1621.1
     Her married name became Willoughby.1 Her married name became Tamworth.1 After her marriage, Dorothy Colby was styled as Baroness Wharton in 1597. From 1597, her married name became Wharton.1
