     He was educated at Eastbourne College, Eastbourne, Sussex, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He lived in 2003 at 61 Salisbury Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone was born on 22 July 1924.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Granville Henry Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone and Margarita Ruby O’Connell.² She married Lt.-Col. Richard McCaig, son of William McCaig, on 24 March 1945.¹ She died on 11 December 1997 at age 73.¹
     Her married name became McCaig.

     William McCaig lived at Dunedin, New Zealand^G.¹

     David John McCaig was born on 13 February 1949.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Richard McCaig and Elizabeth Mary Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone.² He died in 1977.¹

     Susan Mary McCaig was born on 2 November 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard McCaig and Elizabeth Mary Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone.² She married Major Jeremy Turner in 1974.¹
     From 1974, her married name became Turner.

     Eltis Robinson was born on 27 April 1928.² She was the daughter of W. Robinson.³ She married John Louis Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone, son of Lt.-Col. Granville Henry Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone and Margarita Ruby O’Connell, on 4 November 1964.¹ She died on 25 January 2006 at age 77.²
     From 4 November 1964, her married name became Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone.

     Louise Dorothy Ann Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone was born on 22 April 1967.¹ She is the daughter of John Louis Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone and Eltis Robinson.² She married Kyriakos George Pingos, son of George Kyriakos Pingos, on 28 April 2001.¹
     From 28 April 2001, her married name became Pingos.
