He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Stepney, of Prendergast, co. Pembroke [E., 1625] on 7 October 1772.1 He was Envoy Extraordinary to Dresden in 1775.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouth.1 He was Envoy Extraordinary to Berlin in 1782.1
