     Mary Earle was born illegitimately circa 1720.1 She was the daughter of General John Campbell, 4th Duke of Argyll.1 She married Nathaniel Hone the Elder, son of Nathaniel Hone and Rebecca Brindley, on 9 October 1742 at York Minster, York, Yorkshire, England.1 She died on 30 November 1769.1
     From 9 October 1742, her married name became Hone.1
