     Richard Read Birtwistle was the son of Henry Haydock Birtwistle.¹ He married Moya Lennox Browne, daughter of Percy Frederick Browne and Ruth Warren, on 2 March 1944.¹ He died in 1983.¹

     Henry Haydock Birtwistle lived at Whalley, Lancashire, England.¹

     Susan Lennox Birtwistle was born on 7 May 1947.¹ She is the daughter of Richard Read Birtwistle and Moya Lennox Browne.¹ She married Captain Dan Collinson Koch in 1972.¹
