Marianne Scott was the daughter of William Scott, 1st and last Baron Stowell of Stowell Park and Anna Maria Bagnall.1 She married, firstly, Thomas Townshend before 1823.1 She married, secondly, Henry Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth, son of Anthony Addington and Mary Hiley, on 29 July 1823.1 She died on 26 April 1842.1
     From before 1823, her married name became Townshend.1 After her marriage, Hon. Marianne Scott was styled as Viscountess Sidmouth on 29 July 1823. From 29 July 1823, her married name became Addington.1
