     Reverend William Godfrey was born in 1765 at Bushfield, County Kerry, Ireland.1 He was the son of Sir William Godfrey, 1st Bt. and Agnes Blennerhassett.1 He married Lucy Day, daughter of Very Rev. Edward Day, in 1796.1 He died on 19 January 1817.
     He was Rector at Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland.1

     Lucy Day was the daughter of Very Rev. Edward Day.1 She married Reverend William Godfrey, son of Sir William Godfrey, 1st Bt. and Agnes Blennerhassett, in 1796.1 She died in 1861.1
     From 1796, her married name became Godfrey.
