He succeeded as the 4th Baron Trevor of Bromham. He held the office of Minister Plenipotentiary to Holland between 1741 and 1746.1 He held the office of Jont Postmaster-General between 1759 and 1765.1 He gained the title of 1st Viscount Hampden on 8 June 1776.

Very Rev. Richard Trevor1 
Very Rev. Richard Trevor was born on 30 September 1707.1 He was the son of Thomas Trevor, 1st Baron Trevor of Bromham and Anne Weldon.1 He died on 9 June 1771 at age 63 at Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England, unmarried.
He was educated at Queen’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Bishop of St. David’s between 1744 and 1752.1 He held the office of Bishop of Durham between 1752 and 1771.1
