     Michael James Astley Dolphin was born on 20 May 1942.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Cyril Edwin Harold Dolphin and Diana Margaret Bowly.¹

     Margaret Hepburn is the daughter of Sir Adam Hepburn of Hailes and Janet Borthwick.¹ She married Alexander Cuninghame, 1st Earl of Glencairn, son of Sir Robert Cuninghame of Kilmaurs and Anne Montgomerie.¹
     Her married name became Cuninghame.¹

     William Gray was born on 13 June 1678 at Kinfauns, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Patrick Gray and Marjorie Symme.¹ He married Elizabeth Annan.¹ He died in 1744.¹

     Elizabeth Annan was born on 23 December 1689 at Slains, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.¹ She married William Gray, son of Patrick Gray and Marjorie Symme.¹ She died in 1770.¹
     Her married name became Gray.¹
