     John Somerville, 5th of Cambusnethan was born circa 1568.¹ He was the son of Sir James Somerville, 4th of Cambusnethan and Margaret Hamilton.¹ He married Mary Hamilton, daughter of Sir Robert Hamilton, of Goslington and Elizabeth Baillie. He died in 1635.¹
     He lived at Cambusnethan, Scotland^G.²

     Tryphena Saunders was the daughter of Colonel Thomas Saunders. She married, firstly, Richard Hill. She married, secondly, John Jekyll on 20 December 1653 at St. Michael’s, Bassishaw Street, London, England. She died in 1692. Her will was proven (by probate) on 15 April 1692.
