Isaac Thomas Cookson1 
Isaac Thomas Cookson was born in 1817.2 He was the son of Thomas Cookson and Elizabeth Earle.2 He married Janetta Maria Ridley, daughter of Sir Matthew White Ridley, 3rd Bt. and Laura Hawkins, on 23 February 1843.1 He died in 1881.2
He lived at Swinburne Castle, Northumberland, England.1 He and Janetta Maria Ridley emigrated to Lyttelton, Canterbury, New Zealand, arriving on 28 August 1851 on board Dominion.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [New Zealand] between 1860 and 1863.2
Sir Edward Ridley1 
He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1868 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Northumberland between 1878 and 1880.1 He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) in 1892.1 He held the office of High Court Judge between 1897 and 1917.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1
