     He gained the title of Herzog von Bayern in 1049.¹

     Charles Nicholas Ridley was born on 18 September 1852.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Charles William Ridley and Hon. Henrietta Araminta Monck Browne.¹ He married Henrietta Agnes Schenley, daughter of Edward W. H. Schenley, on 9 July 1884.¹ He died on 7 March 1912 at age 59.¹

     Henrietta Agnes Schenley was the daughter of Edward W. H. Schenley.¹ She married Charles Nicholas Ridley, son of Maj.-Gen. Charles William Ridley and Hon. Henrietta Araminta Monck Browne, on 9 July 1884.¹ She died on 5 October 1932.¹
     From 9 July 1884, her married name became Ridley.¹
