     Edward Pryce Owen was born on 3 March 1788 at The Vicarage, Wellington, Somerset, England.1 He was baptised on 3 March 1788.2 He was the son of Hugh Owen and Harriett Jeffreys.2,1 He married Mary Darby, daughter of Samuel Darby, on 6 December 1825 at Madeley, Shropshire, England.1 He died on 15 July 1863 at age 75 at Roderick House, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1
     He was also known as Reverend Edward Owen.2 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1

     Mary Darby was born on 3 March 1798 at Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, Wales.2 She is the daughter of Samuel Darby.1 She married Edward Pryce Owen, son of Hugh Owen and Harriett Jeffreys, on 6 December 1825 at Madeley, Shropshire, England.2 She died in 1866.2
     From 6 December 1825, her married name became Owen.1
