     He was educated at St. Ignatius, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He was a practising solicitor in 1934.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Australian Imperial Forces.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1977.¹

     Mary Constance Curr is the daughter of C. M. Curr.¹ She married Sir Edward Sholto Douglas, son of Edward Archibald Douglas and Annette Eileen Power, in 1939.¹
     From 1939, her married name became Douglas.¹

     C. M. Curr lived at New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Robert Alexander Douglas was born on 12 January 1913.¹ He was the son of Edward Archibald Douglas and Annette Eileen Power.¹ He died in 1923.¹

     Reverend Francis Hugh Douglas was born on 7 August 1914.¹ He is the son of Edward Archibald Douglas and Annette Eileen Power.¹

     Gavin James Douglas was born on 30 April 1926.¹ He is the son of Edward Archibald Douglas and Annette Eileen Power.¹ He married Clare McHugh, daughter of J. H. McHugh, in 1951.¹
     He was educated at Downlands College, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.¹ He graduated from Queensland University, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.S.)¹ He graduated from Queensland University, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia^G, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Australia (F.R.A.C.S.) in 1955.¹

     Clare McHugh is the daughter of J. H. McHugh.¹ She married Gavin James Douglas, son of Edward Archibald Douglas and Annette Eileen Power, in 1951.¹
     From 1951, her married name became Douglas.¹
