     Mervyn Verner Wingfield-Stratford was born on 5 September 1907.¹ He was the son of Francis Mervyn Wingfield-Stratford and Nora Matthey.¹ He married Ann Helen Stewart-Sandeman, daughter of Douglas Charles Stewart-Sandeman, on 26 June 1935.¹ He and Ann Helen Stewart-Sandeman were divorced in 1951.¹ He died on 7 May 1982 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Ann Helen Stewart-Sandeman was born circa 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Douglas Charles Stewart-Sandeman.¹ She married Mervyn Verner Wingfield-Stratford, son of Francis Mervyn Wingfield-Stratford and Nora Matthey, on 26 June 1935.¹ She and Mervyn Verner Wingfield-Stratford were divorced in 1951.¹ She died on 20 April 1998.¹
     From 26 June 1935, her married name became Wingfield-Stratford.¹

     Douglas Charles Stewart-Sandeman is the son of Frank Stewart Sandeman.
