Albert Francis Greenwood was born on 7 May 1918 at Corby, Lincolnshire, England.1 He was the son of Augustus Charles Greenwood and Constance Elfrida Thomson Dick.1 He married, firstly, Rosaleen Mary Fieldsend, daughter of Richard Fieldsend and Monica Mary Stringfellow, on 21 September 1949 at St. Hugh’s Roman Catholic Church, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.1 He and Rosaleen Mary Fieldsend were divorced in 1960.1 He married, secondly, Jennifer Lisbet Hunt, daughter of George Harold Hunt and Nora Clarke, on 31 August 1960 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.1 He and Jennifer Lisbet Hunt were divorced on 20 February 1976.1 He died on 31 December 2007 at age 89 at Stafford, Staffordshire, England.1
He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa, and became a POW at Tobruk on 21 June 1942.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 11 September 1939 in the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 11 March 1941.1 He gained the rank of Bimbashi between 1946 and 1948 in the Sudan Defence Force.1
