He gained the rank of Captain in the Norfolk Regiment.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Verner, of Verner’s Bridge, co. Armagh [U.K., 1846] on 21 June 1899.1

Buckingham [U.K., 1859] on 8 December 1971.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1972.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire between 1987 and 1988.2 He was Harbinger Gentlemen at Arms between 1993 and 1997.2
