     W/Cdr. Roderick Hugh McConnell was baptised in 1917 at Kandy, Sri Lanka.¹ He was the son of Clarence Henry Quentin McConnell and Helen Mary Thorpe.¹ He died on 16 March 1950, at sea.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Dennis Malcolm McConnell was born at sea in May 1918.¹ He was the son of Clarence Henry Quentin McConnell and Helen Mary Thorpe.¹ He married Joan Violet Charsley on 22 December 1944 at St. Paul’s, Kandy, Sri Lanka.¹ He died on 19 July 2007 at age 89 at Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.¹
     He was commissioned on 1 January 1937 with the rank of Midshipman, in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April 1948.¹ He and Joan Violet Charsley emigrated to South Africa arriving on 1963.¹

     Alan Lincoln McConnell was born in 1925.¹ He was the son of Clarence Henry Quentin McConnell and Helen Mary Thorpe.¹ He died in 1974.¹

     Horace Lincoln McConnell was the son of Reverend Charles James McConnell and Beatrice Howard Jackson Lowe.¹ He died in 1917 at Syria.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.¹

     Catherine Flora Chaloner was the daughter of Edward Chaloner.¹ She married John Gerard Riddell, son of Edward Widdrington Riddell and Catherine Stapleton, on 15 April 1863.¹ She died on 16 July 1898.¹
     From 15 April 1863, her married name became Riddell.¹

     Ralph Riddell was the son of Thomas Riddell and Elizabeth Widdrington.¹ He married Elizabeth Blount, daughter of Joseph Blount, on 23 July 1801.¹ He died on 9 March 1833.¹

     Elizabeth Blount was the daughter of Joseph Blount.¹ She married Ralph Riddell, son of Thomas Riddell and Elizabeth Widdrington, on 23 July 1801.¹ She died on 6 July 1849.¹
