     Sir John Yonge, 1st Bt. was born on 2 October 1603.¹ He was the son of Walter Yonge and Jane Peryam.¹ He married Elizabeth Strode, daughter of Sir William Strode and Mary Southcote, in 1621.¹ He died on 26 August 1663 at age 59.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Yonge, of Culliton [England] on 26 September 1661.

     Walter Yonge was born in April 1579 at Colyton, Devon, England.¹ He was the son of John Yonge and Alice Starre.¹ He married Jane Peryam, daughter of Sir John Peryam and Elizabeth Prideaux, on 6 February 1601 at St. Olave, Exeter, Devon, England.^1,2 He died in December 1649 at age 70 at Colyton, Devon, England.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Honiton.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He was admitted to Middle Temple.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon in 1628.¹ He wrote the book A Manual, or a Justice of the Peace his Vade-Mecum, published 1642.¹

     Jane Peryam was born in July 1582 at London, England.² She was the daughter of Sir John Peryam and Elizabeth Prideaux.^1,2 She married Walter Yonge, son of John Yonge and Alice Starre, on 6 February 1601 at St. Olave, Exeter, Devon, England.^1,2 She died in 1655 at Colyton, Devon, England.²
     From 6 February 1601, her married name became Yonge.¹

     Sir John Peryam was born circa 1539 at Exeter, Devon, England.² He was the son of John Peryam and Elizabeth Hone.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Prideaux, daughter of Roger Prideaux and Phillippa Yorke.² He married, secondly, Margaret Peck.² He died circa 1617.²
     He held the office of Sheriff of Exeter in 1582/83.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple in 1584.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bossiney in 1586.² He held the office of Mayor of Exeter in 1587/88.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Exeter in 1589.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Exeter in 1593.²

     Elizabeth Strode was born in 1611 at Newnham, Kent, England.² She was the daughter of Sir William Strode and Mary Southcote.¹ She married Sir John Yonge, 1st Bt., son of Walter Yonge and Jane Peryam, in 1621.¹ She died in 1680.²
     From 1621, her married name became Yonge.¹

     Reverend James Boyd was born in 1725.¹ He married Mary Martin, daughter of Abraham Martin.¹ He died in 1775.¹
     He was Rector at Erris, County Mayo, Ireland.¹

     John Yonge was born circa 1557 at Colyton, Devon, England.² He was the son of John Yonge and Joan Colleton.² He married Alice Starre circa 1574 at Devon, England.¹ He died in September 1612 at Colyton, Devon, England.¹
