     Sarah Ann Russell Thomas was born on 3 December 1809 at Calcutta, India.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Moseley Thomas and Ann Trepaud Macdougall Campbell.¹ She married Sir Henry Byng Harington, son of Henry Hawes Harington and Martha Nicholls, on 12 September 1829 at Calcutta, India.¹ She died on 11 December 1871 at age 62 at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.¹ She was buried on 17 December 1871 at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, England.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 5 March 1892.¹
     From 12 September 1829, her married name became Harington.¹ Her last will was dated 23 February 1885.¹

     Robert Moseley Thomas was born on 23 October 1813 at Calcutta, India.² He was the son of Robert Moseley Thomas and Ann Trepaud Macdougall Campbell.² He married Henrietta Bryce on 7 July 1838 at Calcutta, India.² He died on 10 November 1872 at age 59 at Worthing, Surrey, England.²

     Louisa Georgina Harington was born on 23 October 1831 at Cawnpore, India.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Byng Harington and Sarah Ann Russell Thomas.¹ She married John Walter Sherer, son of John Walter Sherer and Mary Corrie, on 19 November 1853 at Agra, India.¹ She died on 11 June 1865 at age 33 at Allahabad, India.¹
     From 19 November 1853, her married name became Sherer.¹

     John Walter Sherer was born on 31 December 1823 at Snenton Manor, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He was the son of John Walter Sherer and Mary Corrie.¹ He married, firstly, Louisa Georgina Harington, daughter of Sir Henry Byng Harington and Sarah Ann Russell Thomas, on 19 November 1853 at Agra, India.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Watson, daughter of Colonel Edward John Watson and Jane Campbell Thomas, on 26 September 1867 at West Brompton, London, England.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He was with the Bengal Civil Service in 1846.¹ He held the office of Magistrate and Collector of Cawnpore.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1866.¹ He wrote the book At Home In India.¹

     He was Accountant-General of West Provinces, Bengal.¹
